Bookish

I like the word : bookish.

I don't know if it is a proper English word.

I like the way it sounds rather not proper.

I did not do an encyclopedic reserach about the word though.

I know it does not mean I look like a book.

But I like the way it sounds as if I do.

Don't they say "She is foolish" meaning

she looks like a fool?

Instead of meaning:

-intelligent

-scholarly

-knowledgeable

-intellectual

-clever,

the word bookish gives the impression of

"sticking to the books for no visible reason".

True, I read books for no reason.

I am writing these lines for no apparent reason,

and that motivates me.

I imagine you read this with no reason.

Then you might like the word bookish too.
